V is for Vamonos

I can't even begin to count how many times I heard "vamonos" "let's go" in my lifetime.  And, even now, I occasionally tell my husband to "vamonos" as I try to get him and the dogs out the door for another road trip or adventure.  It's when I switch to Spanish that he really pays attention.  Then he knows I'm really flustered or perhaps on the edge of getting upset.

Actually, I just like to say it... it's like tradition in a way... the rallying cry to "let's get this show on the road..!  VAMONOS!!"

Today it was all about getting on the road to start the 12 hour drive from SoCal to NorCal... hey, at least there's In-N-Out on the way...!

Vamanos is one of those cool words that was fun to say as a teenager and sticks with you. I haven't used that word for some time as I don't move very fast these days!

Gosh I haven't heard this word in years though Spanish is spoken all around me in different places I've lived. What is it about In and Out Burgers that they are soooo good? We do have them here in Phoenix and we were just there last week.

Funny. Yesterday when you messaged me and I commented about De, she messaged me last night and we are getting together some time next month! I did mention that you had messaged me earlier in the day. I don't know if you know it, but she got her nurse practitioner degree (or whatever it is called) back in 2015. Real proud of her for doing that!
