#278 - H is for Humboldt County

I thought I would share some of my favorite
photos from where I am currently living:
Humboldt County...

From Centerville Beach

To Ferndale

Past Bull Creek

And the Honeydew Bridge

From Point Mendocino

To Table Bluff near Loleta

I love the Eel River

And the Pacific Ocean

I love seeing Roosevelt Elk!!

And sea-faring boats in the harbor at Eureka

This is where I call HOME...

A place where Scottish Highlander cows
can walk casually down the road...

Come visit us some time...!

#284 - E is for Eel River

I cross the Eel River almost every day when I am home to go to work.

I see the sun when it is rising in the morning...

Or maybe when I am coming home in the morning after
an overnight shift...

I have dozens of photos of these trees...
I love them surrounded in fog..

I catch the beauty of the river coming home at sunset...

In all of it's glorious colors....

And some coloring and photoshopping of my own...

I love this river because crossing it means I am almost home...

#1639 - On Moonshadow

Given the recent Blood Moon and eclipse,
I thought I would share this photo
which made me think of this song...

Yes, I'm being followed by a moonshadow
Moonshadow, moonshadow
Leaping and hopping on a moonshadow
Moonshadow, moonshadow

And if I ever lose my hands
Lose my plow, lose my land
Oh, if I ever lose my hands
Oh, if - I won't have to work no more

And if I ever lose my eyes
If my colors all run dry
Yes, if I ever lose my eyes
Oh, if - I won't have to cry no more

Yes, I'm being followed by a moonshadow
Moonshadow, moonshadow
Leaping and hopping on a moonshadow
Moonshadow, moonshadow

And if I ever lose my legs
I won't moan, and I won't beg
Oh, if I ever lose my legs
Oh, if - I won't have to walk no more

And if I ever lose my mouth
All my teeth, north and south
Yes, if I ever lose my mouth
Oh, if - I won't have to talk-

Did it take long to find me?
I ask the faithful light
Oh, did it take long to find me?
And, are you going to stay the night?

I'm being followed by a moonshadow
Moonshadow, moonshadow
Leaping and hopping on a moonshadow
Moonshadow, moonshadow

Moonshadow, moonshadow
Moonshadow, moonshadow
